Outward Opening Door Technical Information

Flood Seal Activation Sequence:

Activation Step 1

The outward opening flood seal is comprised of two parts.

One part is a semi-closed cell strip, and the other is the Active Gasket.

Activation Step 2

When the door is closed and locked, the Active Gasket will press into the semi-closed cell strip, as shown in Step 2.

Activation Step 3

When the flood water rises the Active Gasket works like a finger and thumb, water pressure encourages the pinching of the semi-closed cell to create a flood seal, as shown in Step 3.
